For Immediate Release

Pennsylvania Franchise Impacts Thousands of Children Through Charitable Giving and Wins National Community Service Award

Dallas, Texas—Tracy Panase and her team at Just Between Friends of Oaks, Reading, Lancaster, and Lower Bucks have been providing Pennsylvania families with quality children’s item through their community consignment marketplaces for the past 12 years, since beginning in 2009.

The items not sold at the events are then donated to Cradles to Crayons who then distributes them to thousands of children in need throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. It was this partnership that won their Just Between Friends organization the 2020 Community Impact Award. More than 300,000 children in the Greater Philadelphia area live with families at or below the poverty level. Cradles to Crayons provides free-of-charge clothes, shoes, books, toys, baby safety equipment and school
supplies to children, aged zero to 12.

“Thanks to the generosity of our JBF consignors in Oaks, we have been able to donate hundreds (of thousands) of needed items to Cradles to Crayons and, in turn, the children they serve. Families helping families—it doesn't get any better than that” says Panase.

The Just Between Friends team accepting the award consists of Panase, Kathy Sermarini, Stephanie Lineaweaver and Kim Rose, who coordinates charitable giving for the Franchise.

An independent team of judges chose Panase and Just Between Friends of Oaks, Reading, Lancaster and Lower Bucks as this year’s Community Impact Award winner due do the large number of children and families they have been able to help through their charitable partnership.
